Workshop 1 : Interreg for energy transition and energy communities : Sala de Eventos (Fontán building)
Border regions are living labs of European integration and must be at the core of the energy transition. Join the workshop to explore how Interreg funding can boost the energy transition in your border regions, securing green and affordable energy for citizens, and learn from the experience of cross-border energy communities and other cross-border energy projects. Speak your voice in an interactive session with experts and practitioners on the topic!
Workshop 2 : Unlock Interreg’s potential to promote skills : Workshop room CINC 3 (CINC building – first floor)
Learn, exchange, unlock your potential and get new skills by attending this workshop. On the occasion of the European Year of Skills, the session will highlight how Interreg contributes to skills development in large territories and border regions, how programmes can address skills shortages and retain the workforce. Share your skills !
Moderators: Mercedes Acitores & Laura Belenguer (Interact) and Rosario Sapienza & Karine Leroy (Tesim)
Workshop 3 : Decarbonisation of transport: Interreg in motion against missing links : Room 10 (Fontán building)
Have you ever tried to cross a border in public transport? Whatever your reply, this session is made for you. How can we combine addressing cross-border missing links with the challenge to develop greener public transport? Inspiring guests in this workshop are here to give you the solution!
Workshop 4 : A better cooperation governance : Workshop room CINC 1 (CINC building – ground floor)
ISO1 is a novelty of the 2021-27 period and is used by many programmes. It has great potential to work on governance, capacity-building, obstacles and people-to-people actions. The objective of this workshop is to discuss the practical implementation of ISO1 and to inspire programmes regarding possibilities (through examples).
Workshop 5: Working on border obstacles: Focal Point, solutions, tools : Workshop room CINC 2 (CINC building – ground floor)
Border obstacles impact the lives of people in Europe’s border regions (e.g. cross-border labour market, education, mobility, access to services, including health). Solutions to border obstacles go beyond funding, but Interreg programmes can be important governance tools and funding instruments to work on such solutions.
Main objectives of the session are: Providing an overview on the agenda for border regions & major policy issues related to it; showing b-solutions as one approach to spot and work on concrete border-obstacles, discussing the need for complementary tools to come towards lasting consultation mechanisms.
We will welcome you from 20.00 at the Hotel Monumento San Francisco, Campillo de, Costa de San Francisco, 3, 15705 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Spain
